Rent and Ride Outside of Greece

You may rent one of our motorcycles and travel to other countries, under the following terms and conditions:

Documents and Arrangements Needed in Advance

  • You need to inform us in advance – at the time you submit your booking request – about your intention to travel to another country. Additional documentation that is not part of the standard rental procedure must be prepared by us. This process takes time. Without the appropriate documentation, border authorities will not allow you to exit the Greek border.
  • Issuing of those documents requires that you send us copies of your passport and license.
  • You need to inform us about the countries that you plan to ride to. This is required in order for the International Certificate of Insurance to be issued. That certificate must list the countries that the motorcycle will travel to.

Mileage and Maintenance

  • Allowed mileage is limited to 300 kilometers per day. Extra distance travelled will be charged for 0.40 euros per kilometer
  • Should you plan to cover more than 10,000 kilometers:
    • you will have the obligation of arranging a service/maintenance job to be carried out at an official dealership that we will have to approve in advance. Plan accordingly.
    • any maintenance work done in non-approved workshops or dealerships will forfeit your security deposit.
    • you will be responsible of covering the cost of the service. On our side, we will ensure that we provide you with a motorcycle that has been thoroughly serviced before you start your tour and with all consumables being new (tyres, oil, brake pads etc).
    • you will have the obligation of providing us with the following documents from the dealership that would carry out the maintenance : repair/work order signed and stamped by the dealership, invoice, list of spare parts used signed and stamped by the dealership.

Deposits and Insurance

  • Security deposit will be raised by +400 euros.
  • There is NO theft insurance once you cross borders. You would be responsible for the entire value of the motorcycle and its accessories, as well as for the loss of revenue to MotoGreece for each day that the motorcycle would be unavailable to the company.

Road Side Assistance

Even though MotoGreece’s road-assistance partners offer pan-European coverage, repatriation of the motorcycle from another country may take signifant amount of time, often expected to be weeks, not days. This may incur loss of revenue that falls outside the typical scope of our operations. For this reason, you will be responsible for :

    • covering all our expenses that might be needed in order for us to arrange and facilitate a quicker recovery of the motorcycle, beyond the timeframe given by our road-side assistance partners
    • loss of revenue to MotoGreece for each day that the motorcycle would be unavailable to the company, starting from the originally agreed date of return

The security deposit will be held by MotoGreece until the motorcycle is brought back to us and a complete inspection and damage evaluation has been carried out by the official dealership of our choice in Athens.

    Ferries

    • Embarking on a ferry from/to Italy is accepted.
    • Our insurance providers do not offer any type of coverage for any kind of damage/loss that would be incurred while the motorcycle is on a ferry.
