OUR PRIVACY POLICY

Who we are

We are MotoGreece Private Company and our website address is: https://motogreece.gr. Please find detailed info about company’s ID (registered address,VAT number, commerce Chamber number etc) at : https://motogreece.gr/company-id-imprint.

What personal data we collect and why we collect it

Contact forms

Your name and your email address is required when you are contacting us via a website’s contact form, so that we know whom to address. We are not replying to anonymous requests. These data are stored for 1 year.

Booking forms

Your name, your email address and also your address of residence are required when you are making a booking request online. These data are used to fill in partially the rental agreement or tour agreement, when you do reserve for one of our services (motorcycle rental or motorcycle tour).

These data are stored for 1 year.

Rental Agreements and Tour Contracts.

Rental agreements and Tour Contracts are contractual agreements, and as such legal binding documents they require : your full name, your address of residence, your passport details, your driving license details. All these are collected only in person when you actually arrive and are about to get a motorcycle from us or you are about to start a motorcycle tour with us. These data are never collected online by MotoGreece via a contact form or a booking form.

These data must be retained for at least 1 year and a half (18 months) after the completion of the contractual agreement. This retention time is necessary in order to allow us or our legal representatives (lawyers) to handle issues such as, but not limited to : traffic violations by renter, road accidents in which renter is involved etc.  Under conditions that are not controlled by MotoGreece, cases like those mentioned might have to be dealt with within such a period of time after the rental or tour has ended.

For example, it is not uncommon in Greece a traffic violation that was recorded by authorities in the absence of the rider (example: a speed trap captures your photo on the road), to be handed over to the entity that owns the vehicle even after 18 months have passed since the date the violation took place!

Credit Card and other means of payment

When you choose to pay us via the internet by using any of the available methods, you are being redirected to the respective payment portals outside of our website before you enter any payment or personal data (e.g. your credit card).

Such payment portals (or payment “processors”) include, but are not limited to, PayPal or one of our bank’s e-commerce platforms. Any data that you enter then, including your credit card, is handled directly by these portals through their secure protocols, and not by MotoGreece. Therefor, MotoGreece will never collect your credit card’s details via our website (a contact or booking form or a payment form), and we never store credit card’s details on our servers or databases.

Copies of the rental agreements also include your credit card’s details, and as such, those credit card details are retained for the same amount of time as described above in the rental agreements, for the purpose of charging traffic violation fines that are brought to our attention after the end of the rental period.
